Hello February

Hey guys! So I am super excited that it is finally February, How many of you guys felt like january was kind of a blah month. January was super slow and just not motivational at all.  This month is going to be super exciting I have so many new ideas for great content , and new platforms.  I can't wait to start posting more fashion posts for you guys and just some great new content.  Also this month is the official launch of the "ItGirl" project and I can't wait for you guys to finally see it. I feel like this is going to be an amazing month, full of a lot of work and just new exciting things , especially content wise. This is going to be a working month for my self to really start planning out things I want to bring forth this year. I'm feeling  so great and confident that this month is the official start of my new year. My blog will also have a new look to it. So I'm  excited to show you guys the new updates and finishing touches I have for my site. I can't say too much about what I have planned for my blog , but it's to be worth the wait. I hope your ready for some great , exciting content , because I know I am.  I also want to get you guys more involved so let me know what you guys want to see on the blog, or if you have any questions or advice for me to answer. Mood Bored Things

Hey guys, so I know there's people out there , that is always looking for a way to spice up their room or office. Well here is a quick but cute idea and easy D.I.Y project for you . So just before the New year came I created for myself a mood bored just to put above my desk in my room. When I got finished with it , I really seen how much of a difference it made in my room. It made my room more colorful and stylish.  Okay so you might be lost a bit if you don't know what a mood board is. Well it just simply a big collage of pictures on a poster or cork board. It's super easy to make and you can use literally anything around your house such as ,magazines, tumblr pictures, Pages from books or even make your own pictures to go on your mood bored. They're also great for inspiration as well, if you're into creating things like I am. So if you looking for a new way to decorate   your office or  bedroom , this is perfect  inexpensive way  for that. So if you're into making things or just looking for a cool new project to get your hands in to this is the perfect one. So go grab your magazines, Poster board and get started. 

Queen Things(Words Of Encouragement)

So last year , I decided to go on my self love journey.It was something that was very essential for me to take serious and I knew it was something that needed to happen. I had gained knowledge from self- help books and meditating and really taking time for myself.  I feel like as a woman we should all take time for ourselves. Having my me time was very important , I made it my duty to have me time every day. I learned to put myself first for the first time and to know that it's okay to. You have to learn how to love yourself first and take care of what's important , before you can go love someone else. Self love was something I always dealt with a  child. It steamed from me having a lot of pain and hurt within myself. There was no doubt that my parents loved me and cared, but it was something eternal that I dealt with.  Honestly this was the best decision  I could ever had made, well along side my walk with god. But I don't seek validation from others, I know that when my heart is pure for someone I don't have to question it.  So ladies Start loving yourselves a little bit harder. Take time for yourself often as possible.  You are a queen darling , so you have every right to show that you are.

Women On A Mission Kat Graham

Introducing Actress,Singer and Dancer Kat Graham, she graces the new cover of ROGUE Mag. 

We know kat for her infamous pop and R&B music, but also her role In honey 2  and Vampire Diaries .Kat recently joined the cast of the new tupac movie, as she will be portraying the lovely Jada Pinkett Smith. I'm  super excited for kat, I feel like this role is going to really show everyone what she is capable of and that she is not just a pretty face.  Not only is kat all those things , but she is also a  style icon. With her Edgy feminine style ,This girl is surely not afraid to take any fashion risk when it comes to her style. She is very daring and she doesn't care what anyone thinks. Personally kat is  one of my style inspirations for this year. I love how her style ranges from different elements and she's not afraid to to try a little bit of color or pattern. We need more fearless females , that are invisible  and that do what makes them happy despite what society and people may think.  When kat talks about her style , she states that she is that kid that is kind of stuck in the 90's.  She is someone who is always changing up her style  and her look. Kat Graham is timeless. 

Meet Alex Elle

Meet Alex Elle. A mother and author of the two books "Love In my language " and "Words From A wanderer "  These two books are a combination Love notes and poems . I discovered Alex elle late 2014 , I mean I have always seen her instagram feed on my timeline but never really paid attention.   Then one day I randomly clicked on her account and discovered her notes2self. I instantly fell in love with her words , phrase and simply the way she had so much love for herself.  At this time discovering her words , I was a sophomore in college getting ready to end my fall semester and  head into spring semester. As i studied her work a  bit more and found her tumblr , little did I know she had changed my life and the way I perceived myself. So I decided to order her two famous books. My sophomore year in college was one of the worst years of my life. I dealt with a lot of hurt , losing friends  , and went back into depression. It was a year that for the first time in 20 years i really had to take a look at the person in the mirror. Alex elle has been a saving grace reading her books and watching interviews of her talking about her story and journey really helped me come to find the light within myself and the unconditional love I had for myself. So I knew that i wanted to start fresh and really change if I  didn't want to be stuck in the ways of depression. So I made it my goal to go on my own personal self- love journey I'm 2015. It was the best decision  I could have ever made, It taught me a lot about myself and for the first time I actually learned to love myself fully . A lot of young girls and women deal with depression , anxiety etc on a daily basis , that's why i feel like every should go give her two books a read.  She's a phenomenal Author and poet , I can't tell you how much I  admire this strong women and her willingness to keep pushing forward.  Us women we are constantly trying to bring  each other down , calling each other names. But as alex elle stated in her book "Love In My Language" We never really know what any one is or are going through at that present moment.  So instead of bringing one another down , how about lifting each other up with a simple "Hello" , or some encouraging words.  She's taught me a lot about myself and I'm still learning. The process will be a forever going  journey , but i am enjoying ever minute of it.  My absolute favorite quote ever that i go by on a daily basis is from her book "Love In My language" as well  and she says " I think we all forget about ourselves at time, I have to learn to remember me"

Glam Girl Boss Sabrina Peterson

Meet "Sabrina Peterson" the founder and CEO of Glam University  and who is also featured on the new issue of "RollingOut" magazine.

She definitely understands the power of being a girlboss and entrepreneur.   Sabrina vowed that she was going to come up with a way to help women start their own business and how to be successful while doing so.  While Sabrina In her past life did make some decisions that weren't the best for her ,she turned herself around and  once she learned from those mistakes she took what she knew and turned it into something extraordinary.  Now she graces the cover of "RollingOut" magazine , changing the game for young entrepreneurs and really showing what black girl magic and girl power truly looks like.  In the interview followed up by RollingOut magazine , one of the questions they asked Sabrina was "why is it important for female business owners to support each other"? Her response was  "It's important to support each other due to the need to create a culture in which we embrace and assist in cultivating each other's dreams." I find this true because us women really need to stick together for one another and really truly support each other.  I feel like there is room for all of us to get to the top, so why bring and bash each other when we can lift and support one another in our businesses and dreams. Us women can all inspire and help one another succeed, there's always room for improvement and to learn more be more  knowledgeable about your craft.  Sabrina had said that "Mentors classes and seminars guide you . They're like a business GPS. Mentorship is like a hand in business- someone who can take you different levels.  Recently sabrina  and Glam university has partnered up with girl boss herself, Sophia Amoroso for the Glam university Girlpower sleepover. So with that being said , let's make a change and stand up for one another. We all make mistakes in life but we can turn those mistakes into something that is truly phenomenal and outstanding.  Girl Bosses are on the rise and we are taking over,  Move out the way boys  were coming through !!!

New Age Of Feminist Amandla Stenberg

     You may know her as Rue, from the hit movie The Hunger Games. But 17- year- old Amandla Stenberg  is outspoken and bold. she was named Feminist celebrity of the year, alongside rowan Blanchard. These young women  are sure changing the game and turning heads while doing so.  Amandla is also an outspoken activist , focusing on  the issue of race and feminism.  This young women  is not only knowledgeable when it comes to the issue of these topics, but she sure isn't afraid to educate those around her.  In her infamous video titled

"Don't cash crop my cornrows" she states that " The line between cultural appropriation and cultural exchange   is always going to be blurred, but here is the thing  appropriation occurs   when a style leads to racist generalizations or stereotypes where it originated , but is  deemed as high fashion, cool or funny when the privilege take it for themselves".  Her stating this got me thinking , it's so true.  R&B and hip hop , tells the stories of struggles and what people have gone through and reaching success , despite the hardships . Amandla is sure bringing awareness on issues that are constantly being put on the back burner, It's time that we speak up and stand for something that is an ongoing issue and that needs to be heard.

    Hey guys , so  finally Happy New Years!!!!! I hope that your year is going great so far. So long time no talk, right? I missed you guys so much and I'm glad to be back in action! So I decided to title this blog post , "Year of Domination" because this year i will be  taking control of every aspect in my life. By that I mean my life, career, friendships,opportunities and all.  This year I'm really going to focus on evolving into the women I'm destined to be, I am going to be taking charge in my passion and hopefully turning it into my career.  This year for me is a New year, clean slate and new start to New beginnings.  I feel like for so long i was comfortable where I was , that this year I'm not so comfortable.  I want to get out and chase oppurtunities and meet new people, and experience new things.  This year is all about growth and going after my dreams . I'm so excited for  things that I have been working on , to be presented to you guys!.  With that being said, The "ItGirl" Project will be launching 2/11/16 of this year and I couldn't be any more excited.  This is a project I'm so honored to be apart of , and I'm so thankful for my business partner Tottianna.  We have been working really hard on this project for the last couple of months and It's finally almost here.  Another thing is ,I can't wait to start doing new content for you guys , I plan on collabing with other bloggers and just bringing some good refreshing content to you.  So as I start this year off exceeding every one's expectations, I'm taking them  Into my own hands !
