Out With The Old & In With The New

Okay! , I know I have not made a blog post in a while, But with the new year just days away its been pretty hectic. Might  I add i have so much stuff to get done. So anyways I just wanted to kind of take a minute for this quote. This quote is from the book "Twenties-Unscripted", When I seen this quote  I just fell in love.   It simply reminded me of this year. 2015 was a emotional rollercoaster to say the least, but it was worth the lessons in the end.   Alot of the things that i went through in the year of 2015  , I didn't quit understand them as they were going on. But as i realized i needed those things and lessons to happen. This year showed me how strong i am as a individual and also that i wont let any one get in the way of my Dreams and aspirations.  I can say that this year definitely threw its punches at me, But i got right back up ready to swing.   consider 2016 the great start  a clean slate, a New Beginning.  Knowing that i turn 22 in the new year, makes me more excited than  I was on my 21st birthday. 2016 will be a year for me to Really  evolve and become the women iv'e alway wanted to be. Though i've always wanted to be her, 2016 is a great way to start my journey of true womanhood. With that being said i will go after every opportunity I have and i will do what makes me happy.  It's a great thing when you can really see yourself evolve into this beautiful person. I've learned that no matter what our purpose  is it will always be for us ,despite someone trying to change that.  What's mapped out for us , will always be ours. So as i go into 2016 I will become everything i set out to be and more.  2016 is my stage from a Caterpillar , into a Beautiful Butterfly.

The ItGirl Project

Okay guys!, so as most of you know a couple of days ago I announced some news. I am officially apart of the "ItGirl" Project. This is a movement for young girls and women to be inspired and empowered by.  I thought i would give you more information about the project, because i gave very little details.  So first off i will be the content creator for the "ItGirl" Website and I am also the Brand Ambassador for the project and movement as well.  I can say that  I am truly blessed and humble for this amazing opportunity for me to start my career and start making a name for myself.  The founder Tottianna when she came to me about the idea and told me what the project was going to be about, I could not  turn it down.  I was like this is a project i can connect well with and something i see going really far. 

The Project is about the empowerment of women and young girls. With guidance and coaching we will increases awareness of how important it is for us women to banned together and support each   other.  We will also focus on personal development as well. 

What is a "ItGIrl" ?  Well many of you may be wondering what exactly is a "ItGirl" . It's someone who embodies strength and integrity .  A woman or young girl who has  the compassion for what she does. She promotes positivity in her everyday life and carries herself as a lady.  She always holds her head held high no matter what. She is driven . motivated, sophisticated also classy with  a little bit of sass.  Being a "ItGirl" is more than just a title, Its a LifeStyle. <3 

Monthly Recap! November

        Alright guys! So Let's get right into it, so first and foremost I want to say I hope everyone had amazing thanksgiving with their families.   But honestly can you believe it's December already, guess what i can . I literally was waiting for november to be over just so it could be december already.   The month of november was kind of boring guys, i just worked a lot and I'm finishing up my semester at school.  One thing i can say though is that towards the last week of november i got an exciting email, about a project in the new year. So I'm am excited for that, but all in all november was just a working month for me, especially in retail with black friday and all that good stuff. Literally i worked so much the last week of november , my body was worn out but im good now or trying to get back in the swing of things.  I should be able to post a little bit more considering now this month is December. But i will be busy with getting everything together for my blog , i am re-launching my blog in the new year with a new name and new design, so be looking out for that. Also stay tuned for the awesome project I'm going to be apart of. But i can't wait until i write the December reap, which will probably be  video recap and reflecting on the year of 2015.  I can't wait for you guys to see all the amazing things i have planned in the new year for my blog and others things.  But I will talk to you guys in my next post !.

She built a school in haiti , and loves giving back to her home roots.  She inspiring women to build an empire and to be that influential , innovative women that you are destined to be.  It's all about working hard  but it always pays off in the end and remember Always BELIEVE in yourself, or no one will.  Being a girl boss and career women is about lifting yourself up but also others as well.  Being a girl boss and a career women can be tricky in a world that is personified as a Man's world. We can do whatever we put our minds to and better, i feel like that's exactly what Karen civil is about. We have to get out their, make a name for ourselves and make connections, there is always room for improving and growing especially when your a businesswoman.  You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.!

Becoming A Girl Boss

      So, becoming a girl boss isn't that easy as snapping your fingers and thinking it is going to appear in front of you with a  blink of an eye. It takes a lot of hard work and persistence and patience. With that being said being the ultimate girl boss means you're in full charge of your life and  career. Being organized and staying on top of your work is very essential ,  I mean after all if you're going to be a girl boss  we have to come in guns blazing !  I've learned that writing down your goals helps make you act towards them a lot faster and effectively. You always want to be two steps ahead of the game, so make sure when you plan out things you're doing so strategically and carefully . Always believe in yourself and NEVER take no for an answer. There are going to  be times when people tell you , you're not good enough or that you're doing it all wrong and you're not going to succeed.But hey! don't pay them any attention keep your head held high and remain the best you . The key is believing in yourself, it will take you a lot further than you think. Remember becoming a girl boss is never easy but it's worth the fight and the reward in the end is so much better!, so never give up and never settle. be The best girl boss i know you can be.

Introducing new musical sensation Alessia Cara.  With her  soulful voice to her edgy style

this 19 year old canadian singer is rocking the charts with  her hit single "Here"  ft in the upcoming issue of RollingStone Magazine. Alessia cara was like any other  normal teenager  fooling around on youtube and then started posting her own videos at the age of 13. Little did she know she would become a mega superstar.
Her hit single "Here" talks about being an antisocial pessimist  at a party.  Also stated in the issue of RollingStone magazine alessia cara says that she didn't even tell her  friends about her pop star dream until last year when she got signed to  defjam records.  She has turned some heads and a lot of people can relate to her first studio album  that is officially out titled "Know It All"  wit her hit single "Here" ft on their as well as some other great songs such as "Seventeen" and "Scars To Your Beautiful". My Top #5 Career Tips

So I thought i would do a post dedicated to all my Girl Bosses out their! I love seeing blog post about getting your dream career and doing well in your field. Well here are some of my career tips for my lovely ,but oh so fabulous girl bosses in the making, considering I'm one in the making as well.

Tip #1 Promote Yourself
It's very important to promote yourself, considering when you're first starting off your the only one on your team. I mean its not like you already have a publicists  ,shoot girl you can be your own publicists. We have so many social media platforms , why not use them to promote your passion. So use you twitter,instagram,facebook and youtube channel to put your brand and business out their on the map. Promote!,Promote!,Promote! the more you promote the more traffic your providing for your brand and business.

Tip#2 Write Down Goals
I think this is very essential when your trying to figure out exactly what you're trying to do and the path your trying to take. So writing down your goals makes them more visual and you're willing to work a lot harder towards it , because it is down on paper. Also another thing that is helpful when ever you complete a goal why don't you mark it off that way you can keep track of your progress and see the goals that you have completed and the one's you need to work on achieving .

Tip#3 Stay Positive!
So this is super important. I feel like we all need to keep a positive mindset and also surround ourselves with people who are going to uplift us verses bring us down. The more you stay positive the more the universe is going to bring positive things into your life, if you're constantly doubting yourself and putting yourself down you're only going to attract the negative. Some things that can help with positivity is meditation and yoga.

Tip#4 Take Risk
Don't be afraid to take risk and take chances. Your never know until you try right? Sometimes taking risk or major stepping stones can be really scary, but we can't' let the fear of the unknown keep us from not following our dreams or passions. taking risk can be Awesome opportunities. So just build some courage and just Go for it!.

Tip#5 Network!!!!
Guys there is a reason i made this one last. Networking is so important and so crucial to any brand or business. Not only do you have to promote yourself, but you also have to Network as well. You never know who your going to be with in a room full of people. Your a career girl you should always , always keep some business cards on you at all times. Networking can get you really far actually, you never know who is looking to give the next person a awesome opportunity that they just cant turn down. So always be ready, and always have your game face on .
